As you may already be aware, Symplicity Communications, Inc. opened a second branch in Indianapolis, Indiana this past August.  We are very excited to announce that everything is running smoothly, and business is well underway in a new state.  The aspect of helping companies in more areas to save money on their telecom expenses is very exciting.

Symplicity’s Vice President, Kim Schwamberger has been leading operations in Indianapolis and making connections with potential clients and partners.  Kim has also become a member of the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and continues to research volunteer opportunities in the area.

The West Michigan Technology Association will host their annual holiday party on Friday, December 4, 2009.  Bring your holiday spirit, and your appetite to enjoy a good time with delicious Hors D’oeuvres.  There will be entertainment and prizes including Arcadia Bluff Golf Certificates, Tiger tickets for seats in the second row behind home plate, and much more!

Holiday ticket price is included in WMTA membership.  The cost for non-members or spouses to attend is $25.  Valet parking is included.  Can’t wait to see you there.

This event will be held at the Pen Club (Louis Benton Steak House) located at 77 Monroe Center, NW on the corner of Monroe Center and Ionia Ave.  Drive up to the valet off of Ionia for free valet parking.  Directions from US 131, exit Market St.  Take Market to Fulton.  Right on Fulton to Ionia.  Left on Ionia and valet is two blocks down on the left.

Jim has served as VP of Technical Operations for OST since the very beginning. He is a technology visionary who sets the long and short-term direction for OST. He specializes in seeing the “big picture” of technology, the computer industry, and the business objectives supported by IT. As OST has gained an international reputation, Jim has taught and spoken at conferences in Europe, Japan, and throughout the US.

Jim attended the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music as a pastoral ministries major, and went on to manage large scale applications running on UNIX and Windows for healthcare, manufacturing, and insurance industries. He has served as a consultant to many large organizations such as Herman Miller, Boeing, Priority Health, Magna-Donnelly Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Komatsu, Alticor, Navistar (International Truck), the US Navy, Mercedes, Targus, and Bio-Rad. Jim has senior level skills in Informix, Oracle, Baan Tools, HP-UX, AIX, high-availability clustering, SAN design and implementation, systems architecture and design, and the application of ERP to the manufacturing environment. He holds many active industry certifications including the HP Master Accredited System Engineer in High Availability and Storage, SNIA Certified Architect (Level 3), and Certified System Administrator for HP-UX and AIX

This is a Golf Event that I will be attending.  Last years event was amazing and it benefits a great cause.

Attached is the brochure for the 2009 Ladies Tee Party Charity Golf Scramble to benefit the Sleeping Angels Endowment at Spectrum Health Foundation.  We are so proud of the fact that we raised over $14,000 for the endowment at last year’s event – thanks to you and your wonderful support!  We are looking forward to continuing that success this year and beginning to help ease the burden for families who’ve experienced stillbirth right here in West Michigan.
